Anesthesia

At Kalispell Oral Surgery, we understand that many patients feel extremely anxious before their surgical procedure. Rest assured, these feelings are completely normal. Dr. Weber, Dr. Shepherd, and their entire staff want to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible for your procedure, which is why we offer many anesthetic options to our patients, including general anesthesia and IV sedation. The type of anesthesia you receive will be specific to your overall health and aligned with your personal preferences.

Our oral surgeons have received both a medical and dental degree in the course of their training. In addition, each of our surgeons has years of hospital and office-based anesthesia training and are licensed to practice all levels of IV sedation as well as general anesthesia. This is the highest level of licensure in the dental profession.  General dentists are not required to complete the same kind of training.

Again, when it comes to anesthesia, our first priority is your comfort and safety. If you have any concerns regarding the type of anesthesia that will be administered during your oral surgery procedure, please do not hesitate to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
